Tholons partners with Baird Pvt Equity

Bangalore, Mar 12 (UNI) Investment advisory and management consulting firm Tholons today announced its partnership with Baird Private Equity Partners to extend its leadership in the services globalisation consultation space to help private equity firms leverage on the benefits of global outsourcing.

Tholons, in a release here, said that through this partnership, Baird established a presence in the fast growing offshore markets as a base for achieving operational excellence for its portfolio companies. Tholons had dedicated resources for Baird based at its centre here. These resources would work exclusively with Baird Pvt Equity portfolio companies, particularly those in the business services sector, to evaluate, develop and execute appropriate strategies in India, it added.

Intel announces new power saving processors

Bangalore, Mar 12 (UNI) Intel Corporation today announced two new energy-efficient server processers, expanding further its quad-core processor family line-up. The new energy-efficient 50-watt server processors offered a 35 to 60 per cent power decrease from Intel's existing 80 and 120-watt quad-core server products. Govt dissociates itself from conference on SEZ

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) The Goverment today said it would take action against organisers of a conference on SEZ for unauthorisedly associating the Union Agriculture Ministry with the event. It said an advertisement appeared in a section of the Press on the event, 'National Conference on Special Economic Zones: Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation Policy', scheduled to be held on March 21 at Hotel Le Meridien here. New guidelines on non-scheduled drugs prices

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has decided to revise the guidelines for monitoring of prices of non-scheduled formulations. This has been done in pursuance of Resolution No. 33/7/97-PI.I. dated 29.08.1997 issued as per the provisions of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 1995 read with Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
