Srinagar receives heavy snowfall of this year

Srinagar, Mar 12 (UNI) Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, witnessed heavy snowfall since early this morning after overnight rains.

Traffic movement in the city was disrupted following unrelenting swowfall.

Heavy snowfall was also recorded at famous ski resort of Gulmarg, Kupwara, Baramulla, Sopore, Charar-e-Sharief and other areas in central and north Kashmir, resulting in considerable cold.

There would be rain and snowfall in the Kashmir valley during the next 24 hours, met department sources said.

Haryana tourism minister in Spain to promote trade and ties

Wintry conditions revive following snow, rain in region

Chandigarh, Mar 12 (UNI) Winter-like conditions revived at most places in the north-west region following another spell of moderate to heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and rain in the lower areas of the hilly state and plains of Punjab and Haryana for the second consecutive day today. High velocity winds, accompanied by rain, swept certain areas, including Chandigarh, rattling window panes and blowing off hoardings.
