Chandigarh, Mar 12 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration has invited recommendations for the ''National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement'' for nominations of suitable/deserving Children between the age of four and 15 years.
The child should have achieved some exceptional achievement in the field of academics, arts, culture, sports and any other field.
The Union Ministry of Women and Child Development will do the final selection on the recommendations of the Chandigarh Administration. There is a gold medal, 35 silver medals, a citation and cash prizes.
This award has been instituted to give recognition to children with exceptional abilities and outstanding caliber in different fields.
The last date for sending the nominations to the Government of India is July 31, 2007. The child to be selected for the award should have unusual talent and exceptional achievements in any field.
The award will be announced on November 14, 2007.
