Rancide launches DRDO-developed mosquito repellant

Coimbatore, Mar 12 (UNI) Ramicides has launched 'Stop,' a mosquito repellant developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and used by the Indian Army, here.

Addressing a press conference last night, Company Chairman R Narasimhan said 'Stop' was based on pharma formulation -- DEPA (diethyl, phenyl, acciamide). This unique and effective aerosol spray had been used exclusively by the Indian Army so far.

Unlike other mosquito repellents, 'Stop' did not contain any harmful pesticides and helped protest poeple from vector-borne diseases like dengue, chikungunya, malaria and filariasis, he claimed.

Ramcides, an agro chemical manufacturing and marketing company, had been serving Indian farmers for over three decades and was planning to increase the turnover to Rs 700 crore from the present Rs 50 crore, he said.

CARD's handicraft exhibition begins

Metlife launches new single pay ULIP plans

New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) MetLife India Insurance Co Pvt Ltd today strengthened its Unit Linked portfolio by launching two new plans -- Met Smart Plus and Met Smart Premier single pay. Both the products can be bought by customers through a one time payment. The minimum single premium for both policies is Rs 50,000. The policies can be bought by individuals up to age of 55 years. The minimum sum assured is 1.25 times the premium while the maximum sum.....
