Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi to inaugurate IMC's Conference on Convergence

Mumbai, Mar 12 (UNI) Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi is slated to inaugurate Indian Merchants' Chamber's 5th International Conference on 'Communications Convergence' here on March 16.

Maharashtra Finance Minister Jayantro Patil will be the Guest of Honour at the Conference.

IMC today announced that the theme of the two-day conference would be 'New Technology: New Business.' The objective of the conference is to provide a platform for government policymakers, leaders of industry and other stakeholders to discuss various new technology options and the new business horizon for ensuring a smooth transition to convergence era with a win-win situation for all stakeholders, IMC officials said.

Mumbai, Mar 12 (UNI) The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) the telecommunications regulator in Saudi Arabia has received an overwhelming response from European, Asian and Gulf telecom service providers for its Request for Applications (RFA) to award a second fixed-line license and a third mobile license.
