Karnal, Mar 12 (UNI) Max New York Life today opened its first general office in Karnal city in Haryana as a part of its expansion plans in the northern region.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kenneth Sannoo, Head-Agency (North and East), Max New York Life Insurance Company described Haryana as a land of enormous potential.

With this new office which will be headed by Mr Vikas Ratra, Max New York Life has established a countrywide network of 162 offices and representatives across 116 cities in the country he said.

Talking about the company's vision and expansion plans in the Northern region, he said, ''At Max New York Life, we are extremely pleased with our progress in the northern region and feel that opening an office in Karnal would go a long way in educating people about the true potential and benefits of life insurance''.

''The customer response so far has been extremely encouraging and we're excited about bringing one of the most diverse product range sold on a need-based manner by our quality agent advisor - for the people of Karnal'', Mr Sannoo said.

Max New York Life has till date sold over 1.4 million policies and recorded a sum assured of over Rs 40,500 crore. It has over 23,000 agent advisors, he added.
