"I am in good tuning with Dada", Vidyabalan

Jaipur, Mar 12 (UNI) Bollywood actor Vidyabalan who received critical acclaim for her debute performance in Pradeep Sarkar directed ''Parineeta' says she has not refused to work with him for his second movie.

The starlet who is shooting for the Priyadarshan directed ''Bhul Bhulaiya' here while on a school function interacting with the newsmen said ''Dada ke sath mere tuning ache hai.Mere pas date ki problem aarehe thi'' (I am in good terms with Dada I have date problem.

That is the reason I could not accept his offer. But if I was offered a role in his next film I will gladly accept the role.

Talking about her Limited role in 'Eklavya' she said though my role in the movie was short my performance get noticed. I think my role in the movie is complete in itself''. She said the the charaector in the film defines the vote of an action and the director is the ultimate decider of the role of a charecter.

''For the last two weeks I am in Jaipur. I saw a lot of the Pink City but many things remains to be seen. Due to the tight schedule I could not see enough of the city'', she said .

Talking about her new film with Priyadarshan she said ''Priyadarshan is a fantastic director but since the film is on the floor I could not disclose any thing about the film. I am bound by contract''. Vidya said she is looking forward to her new films ''Halla Bole'' and Bhul Bhulaiya''.

No shortage of wheat in country: FCI

Chandigarh, Mar 12 (UNI) The Food Corporation of India (FCI) today stated that there was no shortage of wheat stocks in the country and presently around 45 lakh tonnes of wheat reserves were lying with the government. The government had to import 55 lakh tonnes of wheat to control the rising wheat prices and not because there was shortage of the foodgrain in the country, FCI Acting Director J P Sharma told mediapersons here. The wheat imports had resulted in fall.....

Govind Nihalani to receive Kodak Technical Excellence award

Mumbai, Mar 13 (UNI) Acclaimed film-maker Govind Nihalani will be felicitated with the ''Kodak Technical Excellence'' award at the ongoing MAMI festival here. Incidentally, Nihalani is one of those few technician-turned-filmmakers who has received more awards for filmmaking than camerawork. Born in Karachi in 1940, Govind Nihalani and his family migrated to India after partition. He learnt his craft in a polytechnic in Bangalore. Javed Akhtar conferred Lifetime Achievement award

Mumbai, Mar 13 (UNI) Bollywood script writer, poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar was conferred the ''Lifetime Achievement'' award at the ongoing MAMI festival here. In an informal chat with reporters after receiving the award, Akhtar lamented the declining standard of songs. ''Today there is speed in life, at the cost of depth,'' he rued.
