HC stays verification tests in schools

Mumbai, Mar 12 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today stayed the ongoing verification tests, directing the School Education Department to conduct only final exams now.

In response to a petition filed by the Brihanmumbai Mahapalika Shikshak Sabha, a Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice J N Patel and Justice S C Dharmadhikari stayed the ongoing verification tests in all primary public schools of the State.

The court observed that the School Education Department should now focus only on final exams and not take any other tests.

Last year, the basic skill development tests created problem and were given up by the school education department, after the tests were stayed by the High Court.

New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) Dense fog enveloped the Delhi skyline this morning, plummeting visibility levels and disrupting flight schedules.
