Airtel's customer base in HP crosses five lakh

Shimla, Mar 12 (UNI) Airtel, India's leading mobile service provider, today announced that its customer base has reached an all time high of five lakh spread over 57 towns and over 8,000 villages of Himachal Pradesh.

According to the figures released by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the customer base in the state has touched 5.04 lakh, state's COO R V S Bhullar said in a statement here.

Mr Bhullar said the milestone was testimony of the customers faith in Airtel, whose services were now available in every nook and corner of the state.

Rancide launches DRDO-developed mosquito repellant

Coimbatore, Mar 12 (UNI) Ramicides has launched 'Stop,' a mosquito repellant developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and used by the Indian Army, here. Addressing a press conference last night, Company Chairman R Narasimhan said 'Stop' was based on pharma formulation -- DEPA (diethyl, phenyl, acciamide). This unique and effective aerosol spray had been used exclusively by the Indian Army so far.
