HDK assures to implement Pay Commission report

Bangalore, Mar 11: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy todayassured that the State Government would implement the recommendationsof the fifth Pay Commission, which had submitted its report recently.

Speaking to newspersons after visiting a few slum areas here, heclarified that he had never opposed the recommendations, but had onlyasked the State Government employees to work vigorously for thebetterment of the weaker sections of the society before seeking payhike.

Mr Kumaraswamy, while rejecting the demand of the State EmployeesAssociation to implement it by this month, said the Government wouldreview the recommendations before implementing it.

Urging the State Government employees to respond to the needs ofthe public, he said everyday he received thousands of petitions,seeking his intervention to get their works done.
