Haryana govt to attract European tourists with packages

Chandigarh, Mar 11 (UNI) The Haryana government will organise specific tourism packages for the tourists from Europe after having a liaison with various tourism organisations of northern states of the country.

This was stated today by Minister of State for Tourism Ms Kiran Choudhry while elaborating the achievements of the Haryana Tourism's three-member delegation that attended the ITB Berlin 2007 in Berlin, which concluded yesterday.

She revealed that this step would facilitate the foreign tourists coming to India to have a hastle-free visit and would give them a glimpse of its rich cultural heritage and architecture.

Ms Choudhry alongwith the delegation today left for Madrid, where she will meet Ms Amparo Fernandez, Secretary General, Turespana (Tourism Institute of Spain) tomorrow.

During their four days visit to Spain , the delegation will have a meeting with Tourism Consortium of Madrid and Secretary General World Tourism Organisation Franscisco Frangialli.

The visit to Spain will enable the Haryana Tourism to showcase its achievements and in the promotion of its marketing strategies.

ICAI, IGNOU to ink MoU on specialised B Com, M Com courses

New Delhi, Mar 11 (UNI) The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for launch of specialised B.Com and M.Com courses granting exemption to the ICAI students for the subjects studied in the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course.
