Gang of child traffickers busted, nine children rescued

Kishanganj, Mar 11 (UNI) A gang of child traffickers was busted here with the arrest of a ganglord and nine children were rescuied from their clutches.

Acting on a tip-off that ganglord Mohammad Tashir was whisking away the group of children to Rajashtan, Kochadhaman police station Officer-In-Charge (OC) Tripurari Singh swung into action and with the cooperation from GRP personnel Manoj Kumar Sinha, succeeded in intercepting them when they were preparing to board the Jodhpur-bound Bikaner Express at Kishanganj railway station late last night.

GRP sources said the children,in the age-group of 8 to 10, were identified as Nurzamma, Tasfarul, Manoba, Shah Alam, Sajjad, Anwar, Muzaffar, Dilrukh and Lal-all belonging to a village under Kochadhaman police station. All of them have been repatriated to their families.

It was for the third time in the past three months that child traffickers' gangs have been busted and more than 70 children have been rescued so far, official sources added.

Surat, Mar 2 (UNI) The Ministry of External Affairs will soon introduce online passport registration facility in six districts of south Gujarat from March 13, sources today said.
