Fast unto death over problems of gas tragedy victims continues

Bhopal, Mar 11 (UNI) The fast unto death of certain organisations struggling for victims of 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy, world's worst industrial disaster, entered into seventh day today.

Bhopal Group For Information and Action's Satinath Shadangi told reporters here that the agitation will continue until their demands were met. He said four women from the Mahila Mandal and other organisations joined the strike.

He said research by various organisations had proved that people residing in the vicinity of the Union Carbide Factory premises had more health problems like stomachache, skin disorders, indigestion, constipation, that compared to other parts of the city.

Rajiv Swagruha programme kicks off on March 27: CM

Hyderabad, Mar 11 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government's much ambitious programme 'Rajiv Swagruha', for providing houses to the middle-income group people in all the municipalities and corporations at an affordable cost, will kick off on March 25, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy announced here today.
