3-year-old girl slips into 60-feet borewell

Bhavnagar, Mar 11 (UNI) A three-year-old girl reportedly fell into a 60-feet dry borewell in Karmadia village, 100 km away from here, this afternoon.

Police said Arti Chawda, who was trying to climb a tree, slipped and fell into the borewell.

Fire fighters and government officials from here have rushed to the village and rescue operations are in progress.

A ten-member rescue team, led by Ahmedabad fire brigade station officer J M Khadia, has also left for the site along with an emergency van and necessary equipment.

Bhavnagar, Mar 11 (UNI) The Local administration here has sought help from the Army to rescue a three-year-old girl, who accidently fell into a 60-feet deep borewell in Karmadia village here today. Official sources said oxygen was being provided to girl in a bid to save her life. Fire fighters from Bagdana, Mahuva and Bhavnagar had already reached the spot. Bhavnagar, Mar 11 (UNI) In a tragic accident, three-year-old Aarti died after she fell into a 60-foot deep borewell in Karmadia village, about 100 kilometres from here, this afternoon despite hectic efforts by the local administration and the army to save her.
