2 killed in Srinagar blast

Srinagar, Mar 11 (UNI) Two persons were killed when some Explosive substance exploded in a shop at fruit Mandi here early this morning.

Police said two persons Mohammad Asif and Feroz Ahmad were killed when an explosion occurred in the fruit Mandi Parimpora.

Police have registered a case and started investigation.

Chandigarh, Mar 11 (UNI) In the first major reshuffle of the bureaucracy after the SAD-BJP government assumed power, the Punjab Government today shifted 27 civil officers including Excise and Taxation Commissioner Mukul Joshi and eight Deputy Commissioners. Police unearth hideout, recover war like stores in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 11 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police have busted a hideout and recovered war like stores in the south Kashmir district of Pulwama, a police spokesman said. He said acting on a tip off, Pulwama Police conducted a search operation at Thokerpora Rohmu early today. During the operation, police busted a hideout and recovered arms and ammunition, including one AK-56 rifle, ten Magazines, 15000 rounds of ammunition, five Pistol magazines. two wireless sets, four UBGL grenades, five Chinese Grenades, one.....

Insat 4B launch deferred till tomorrow

Bangalore, Mar 11 (UNI) The launch of India's latest communication satellite Insat 4B was deferred by a day this morning following an anomaly noticed in the launchpad seven minutes before the scheduled blast off. The satellite was to be launched by Ariane Five vehicle of Arianespace from Kourou, French Guyana between 0355 hrs and 0428 hrs today. Lucknow, Mar 11 (UNI) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today maintained that the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal was still a hindu state despite the recent amendment in its constitution. Police busts inter-state LeT network

Jammu, Mar 11 (UNI) An inter-state network of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) was busted with the arrest of four militants from a bus in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today. Following intelligence inputs, the police arrested four militants, including one hailing from Chandigarh, from a Poonch-bound bus near Rajouri last evening, the sources said.
