Union Defence Minister visits Vizag

Visakhapatnam, Mar 10 (UNI) Defence Minister A K Antony today visited Eastern Naval Command (ENC) here.

According to ENC Spokesman, Mr Antony was received by Admiral Suresh Mehta, Chief of Naval Staff and ENC Chief Vice-Admiral Arunkumar Singh. Defence Secretary Shekhar Dutt was also accompanying the minister.

Mr Antony visited the headquarters of ENC, Naval Dockyard and other naval establishments and inspected a 50-members guard of honour presented by the INS Dega Air Port.

Later, he left for New Delhi by a service aircraft, an ENC spokesman added.

Khammam, Mar 2 (UNI) One person was killed and 13 injured, three of them seriously, when a private bus, in which they were travelling, collided head-on with a lorry near Konijerla village in this district today. New Delhi, Mar 11 (UNI) The world's largest armoured vehicle manufacturing unit is to be set up in India by this mid-year under a 51:49 joint venture between the British armoured vehicle maker Armet and the country's Indian technical textile producer Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn.
