Technology must become a force multiplier for CISF: Kalam

Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, Mar 10 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam today asked Central Industrial Security Force to increase the use of advanced technologies and make all-out efforts to reduce the number of people deployed in each operation.

''CISF should aim to become an invisible, lean and thin smart security system in the establishments under their cover causing minimum disturbance to the functionaries of the establishment and the clients and be a deterrent to the mischief mongers,'' he said after reviewing a ceremonial parade here to mark the CISF Day celebrations.

A combination of electronic surveillance system, use of intelligence data and mobile rapid action force should enable CISF to bring down the number of people on perimeter duty substantially, he said.

''Electronic fencing and robust communication system will make asset security a purposeful mission with minimum quality human power. Keeping the force on constant mobility will also ensure enhanced vigilance.'' MORE UNI

Chennai, Mar 2 (UNI) A college student here has claimed to have completed a feat of 30-hour non-stop writing in a bid to gain entry into the Guinness Book of World Records.
