Students articulate their vision of Chennai city by 2020

Chennai, Mar 10 (UNI) Over 60 students from over 20 schools in the city participated in the oratorical contest- 'Vijay Shanthi Vision Chennai 2020', organised by the city-based Vijay Shanthi builders here today.

In a statement Executuive Director of the Company Naresh Jain said the contest was for students of eighth and ninth standards, and would serve as a platform for them to express and verbalise the vision they have for the city they were to inherit.

He said the contest also enabled the students to exhibit their language and oratory skills by presenting their vision of Chennai in the year 2020. A panel of judges comprising eminent personalities selected the winner, who was also given a scholorship award worth Rs 25,000.

New housing numbering system soon in temple town

Tirupati, Mar 10 (UNI) As part of the statewide pilot project to rationalise housing numbers, a new housing numbering system would be implemented in the Corporation limits soon.
