Talking to newsmen on the sidelines of the felicitation function organised by the Karnataka State Cricket Association for its celebrated players of yesteryears, Mr Pawar, the union Agriculture Minister said ''Too much of expectations is pushing the team hard and that might affect the performance''. ''But it should not happen,'' he added wishing the team all the best.

Comparing to the 1983 Kapil's Devils who won the World Cup in England, Mr Pawar said that the current side was a good one one with strong battling line up and fielding improved tremendously. ''It's a good combination'' he added.

''He will bounce back'' he said adding and pointed out Sourav Ganguly as an example. Ganguly had bounced back and was now a pillar of the team, Mr Pawar said.
