One killed and 36 injured in Kashmir accidents

Srinagar, Mar 10 (UNI) One person was killed and 36 others were wounded, four of them critically, in two road accidents in the Kashmir valley today, official sources said.

Official sources said one person was killed and six others were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar met with an accident at Shaitan Nullah on the highway.

The injured were admitted to hospital.

They said 30 people were injured when a bus carrying them turned turtle at Mawar Kargam, Handwara, in the frontier district of Kupwara today.

The injured were admitted to hospital. However, four of critically wounded were admitted to hospital here.

Law Minister expresses concern over female foeticide

KMP Expresway gets environment clearance

Chandigarh, Mar 10 (UNI) Decks have been cleared for the speedy and timely implementation of the prestigious Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway in Haryana with the project getting environment clearance from the Centre. Mr Rajeev Arora, Managing Director of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructural Development Corporation (HSIIDC), today said the Ministry of Environment and Forests had accorded the environment learance to the project. Warlike stores recovered by BSF in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 10 (UNI) Border Security Force (BSF) today busted two underground hideouts and recovered warlike stores in the Kashmir valley. A BSF spokesman said troops of 145 BSF battalion with state police launched a joint operation at village Karwa in the central Kashmir district of Badgam following a tipoff that militants had stored a huge cache of arms and ammunition there. He said after a long search of the area, troops finally smashed the hideouts. The arms and ammunition recovered.....
