NSHM signs MOU with de Bono school of Lateral thinking

Kolkata, Mar 10 (UNI) NSHM Knowledge Campus today signed an MoU with globally acclaimed De Bono School of Lateral Thinking and Cognitive Intelligence for setting up NSHM-De Bono Centre of Innovation and Thinking Management for fostering creativity among students and professionals using De Bono tools and techniques.

The signatories, Peter Burns de Bono and NSHM chief Cecil Anthony, would give NSHM De Bono tools and technique methods from this academic year beginning August.

De Bono, a worldwide computer consultant since 1970, explaining about his teaching methods, said some schools in Chennai had opted for his tools and were doing well in association with some corporates.

The centre of innovation and thinking managment, to take off from the NSHM knowledge campus premises in Kolkata, would be operational from the new academic session and provide training in concept like "Lateral Thinking", pioneered by De Bono. Lateral Thinking uses methods of thinking, concerned with changing concept and perception.

It also involved disrupting the apparent thinking sequence and arriving at a solution from another angle.

Decision on EPF interest rate put off fourth time

Eighteenth IGNOU convocation on March 17

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will hold its 18th convocation here on March 17. Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishna will preside over as Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation address. The Convocation will be simultaneously held at 28 regional centres of the university.
