DPC condemns manhandling of lady scribe

Kohima, Mar 10 (UNI) The Dimapur Press Club (DPC) today condemned the alleged manhandling of a reporter of the Morung Express on the day of the by-election to the Dimapur-I Assembly constituency.

The DPC, in a statement, said such behaviour of the Dimapur Municipal Council member with a woman journalist, that too on the International Womens Day, was uncalled for.

''It is not only an insult to the media fraternity, but also to the entire women community of the world,'' the statement added.

Agartala, Mar 10 (UNI) The Tripura Assembly has adopted a resolution seeking Prime Minister Monmohan Singh's intervention for extension of railway line upto Sabroom in Tripura's south district, during next budget. CCL to produce 78 million tonne of coal in next five-year plan: CMD
