DCI conducts public hearing on delimitation

Hyderabad, Mar 10 (UNI) The Delimitation Commission of India (DCI) today heard the views of the public and various political parties on delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh here.

The public representatives of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahaboobnagar and Medak districts submitted their suggestions to the Commission.

Meanwhile, Commission Chairman Kuldeep Singh said the draft released by the Commission earlier was not final and the Commission would consider the suggestions put forward by the public and political parties and incorporate them in the final draft.

The Commission had already conducted sittings in Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.

Clearance on Pulichintala project likely by April 27:Minister

Four maoists held

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 6 (UNI) Grey Hound personnel of the state police nabbed four Maoists from Banglore-Bhubaneswar Prasanti Express at Guntur railway station this morning. K'taka govt to construct 20 permanent helipads

Mangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) In view of the increased tourists inflow to Karnataka and growth in the aviation sector, the state government has decided to construct 20 permanent helipads at a total cost of Rs two crore, Infrastructure Development Principal Secretary V P Baligar said today.
