New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) The CPI has identified as many as 17 assembly seats for the ensuing Uttar Pradesh elections as partner in the Jan Morcha Alliance.
A decision to this effect was taken during the party's two-day Naitional Executive which concluded here today, CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan told newspersons.
Addressing the media at the party headquarters - Ajoy Bhawan, the venue of the party deliberations, Mr Bardhan said another four or five seats were being negotiated and would soon be announced after adjustments with other groups in the Alliance.
The list of the seats is as follows: Sarwan Khera(General), Aurayya(G), Orai(G), Hathras(G), Amroha(G), Badaun(G), Colnelgunj(G), Nagar East(Reserved), Kishunpur(R), Gazipur, Zakhania(R), Kolasal(G), Bikapur, Phoolpur, Lalgunj, Mohmadabad Ghona(R) and Rasra(R).
