CM wants information on Housing on net by April 17

Hyderabad, Mar 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed District Collectors to put all information relating to the prestigious INDIRAMMA housing programme being taken up with budgetary allocation of Rs 5700 crore, on the Internet by April 17.

Briefing newspersons on the day-long District Collectors conference, Revenue Minister D Prasada Rao said 90 per cent of the houses taken up in the first phase in one-third of the villages and Municipal wards were completed.

The Government programmed to construct 20 lakh houses under the programme this year, he said, adding that Dr Reddy had directed the Finance Department to release funds recruitment of additional engineers to tackle with increase in work load.

Dr Reddy expressed concern over delay in land acquisition in some districts for the programme and over-delay in calling tenders for construction of 120 integrated hostels for SCs, STs and BCs.

He wanted the District Collectors, who complained of court cases for the delay, to act swiftly and overcome legal problems to land acquisition.

Delhi blast mastermind Dhar in city police sustody

Bangalore, Mar 10 (UNI) Bangalore police today took Delhi blast mastermind Tariq Dhar into custody for interrogation to ascertain his links with the Indian Institute of Science attack in the city. Police sources said that Imran Bilal Ahmed Kota, an LeT operative arrested by the city police recently, had mentioned the name of Dhar during his narco analysis test. MP bypoll: BJP retains Udaypura

Bhopal, Mar 11 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh's ruling BJP today retained the Udaypura Assembly seat while it was leading in Gwalior Lok Sabha constituency but the main opposition Congress was ahead in Sidhi (ST) Lok Sabha seat, official sources said while providing bypoll details. Ms Shashi Prabha Singh was declared elected from Raisen district's Udaypura by 1100 hrs. She vanquished her nearest rival Mr Sahib Singh Patel (Congress) by a margin exceeding 19,000. MP CM orders Collector's removal

Sheopur, MP, Mar 11 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has ordered the immediate removal of District Collector Mahendra Singh Bhilala and two other officials following complaints received during a Jandarshan programme.
