US Under secretary of state for management to visit Nepal

Kathmandu, Mar 9 (UNI) US Under Secretary of state for Management Henrietta H Fore is visiting Nepal from today to review the political development in Nepal.

Ms Fore is the seniormost administrative official to visit Nepal since Jana Aandolan II in April last year that forced King Gyanendra to give up all his powers to the political parties.

Ms Fore, who is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, will review developments in the Himalayan nation, the American embassy said in a statement today.

She will also meet various politicians, officials, business executives, and women alumni of US exchange programs.

As the State Department's senior management official, she will inspect the new US Embassy in Kathmandu and review plans to open it this summer.

Hindu prayer in Nevada State Legislature

Washington, Mar 9 (UNI) History will be created when Director of Public Affairs of Hindu Temple of Northern Nevada Rajan Zed will offer Hindu prayers at the opening of the Nevada State Assembly session on March 19 and Nevada State Senate session on May 7, both in Carson City. Sunita relishes 'saag-paneer,chole in space

Washington, Mar 9 (UNI) Flight Engineer Sunita ''Suni'' Williams, who arrived on the Space Shuttle STS-116 Discovery on December 11, 2006, for a six-month tour of duty, found saag paneer and chole in her ''bonus containers''which she shared with her crew mates.
