Uma dares Amitabh to move about in UP without gunman

Indore, Mar 9 (UNI) Reacting to megastar Amitabh Bachchan's recent statement on better law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Jan Shakti Party President Uma Bharti today dared him to move about in the state without gunman.

She told reporters that the megastar will be lost by evening if he moves about in Uttar Pradesh without gunman.

Regarding publishing of the photograph of Preity Zinta with the Prime Minister's wife, Gurusharan Kaur, and Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit, Ms Bharti wondered why people from corporate world and film industry were joining the film industry.

Earlier, Ms Bharti took part in Rang Panchami festival.

CM seeks votes in Valtoha, blames SAD for rise of terrorism

Valtoha, Feb 21 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today sought votes from the electorate in Valtoha constituency for Congress in the name of peace and development while blaming the SAD regime for the rise of terrorism in the state. Model code of conduct comes into force in UP

Lucknow, Feb 21 (UNI) With the announcement of much awaited assembly election in Uttar Pradesh in seven phases in April-May, model code of conduct has come into force with immediate effect. 13 candidates file papers for eight council seats

Jammu, Feb 21 (UNI) As many as 13 candidates, including Mohammad Sharief Niaz who vacated his Bhaderwah Assembly seat for his brother Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad last year, filed their nomination papers for eight seats Legilative Council election in Jammu and Kashmir today.
