Surana Industries to implement SAP, ERP

Chennai, Mar 9 (UNI) Surana Industries Limited (SIL), a city-based leading manufacturers of steel, today announced the launch of a programme for implementation of SAP ERP.

The programme was being implemented by SAL Technologies and Solutions Private Limited, a Mumbai-based company with offices in Delhi, Chennai and Lucknow, a company release said here.

In an interface meeting with the representatives of the company, detailed analysis was made in the areas of Business Process Analysis, Implementation Methodology, Project Management and Risk Management, and strategy for a phased approach for transforming from the existing IT system to SAP.

SAP'S ASAP methodology would be used for implementation in two phases. The first phase, for its corporate office in Gummidipoondi Plant, Madhavaram Works and Bangalore Yard, would be completed in four months. However, phase two will be taken up subsequently for the company's Raichur Plant.

The implementation of the ERP System will ensure a complete 'enterprise transformation of the unit' in as much as this will facilitate Standardization in Reporting and Management Information, the release added.

RIL to pay Rs 11/share

Mumbai, Mar 10 (UNI) The board of directors of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries (RIL) today approved an interim dividend of 110 per cent at Rs 11 per share of Rs 10. The board of Indian Petrochemicals Corporation(IPCL) announced an interim dividend of 60 per cent at Rs 6 per share of Rs 10.
