Rs 27.75 lakhs robbed from Central Bank

Nawada, Mar 9 (UNI) Armed miscreants robbed Rs 27.75 lakhs from Vijay Nagar branch of Central Bank of India under Town police station here today.

Sources from the Central Bank said five criminals barged into the bank during the working hours and robbed the amount at gun point after taking five employees, including its manager, into their custody.

Police said raids were being carried out to arrest the criminals and recover the stolen cash.

Aizawl, Mar 9 (UNI) The Mizoram government has sent an amendment proposal of Mizoram Liquor Total Prohibition Act (MLTP) to Kohhran Hruaitute, the Church Leaders' Committee, for their comments before placing it in the Assembly. Official sources here today said the committee has held meetings on the issue but failed to draw any conclusion and put on hold the draft for a detailed study.
