Rs 27.75 lakhs robbed from Central Bank

Nawada, Mar 9 (UNI) Armed miscreants robbed Rs 27.75 lakhs from Vijay Nagar branch of Central Bank of India under Town police station here today.

Sources from the Central Bank said five criminals barged into the bank during the working hours and robbed the amount at gun point after taking five employees, including its manager, into their custody.

Police said raids were being carried out to arrest the criminals and recover the stolen cash.

MP's budget likely to focus on social sector

Bhopal, Feb 25 (UNI) Constrained by financial limitations, the Budget 2007-08 to be presented in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly is likely to focus on social sector and implementing public welfare schemes. Police seize illegal sea-sand in Andamans

Port Blair, Mar 09 (UNI) Andaman and Nicobar police have seized 380 bags of sea sand, illegally extracted from Andaman sea coast, and arrested two persons, police said today. High Court reserves order in witness abduction case

Patna, Mar 9 (UNI) Patna High Court today reserved the order on a petition relating to abduction of Lalmuni Devi, a prime witness in the murder case involving JD(U) MP from Maharajganj Prabhunath Singh.
