Farmer electrocuted

Badwani, MP, Mar 9 (UNI) A farmer was electrocuted to death at Temla village in this district, police said today.

Bhole Singh (23) received electric shock while irrigating his farm. He died on the spot.

In a separate incident, a tribal woman, who was frustrated with her disease, committed suicide by consuming poison at Dhawadi village.

Setback for DMDK as councillor shifts to DMK

Chennai, Feb 21 (UNI) Actor Vijayakanth's Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), which sprang a surprise, winning five wards in the Chennai Corporation, suffered a setback today when one of them joined the ruling DMK. Imphal, Feb 21 (UNI) Stage is set for the third and final phase of polling in Manipur as more than 3.5 lakh voters, including nearly two lakh women, are expected to exercise their franchise to elect 12 Assembly members in three districts and a sub-division tomorrow.
