Coca Cola launches 'Minute Maid' orange juice drink

Bangalore, Mar 9 (UNI) Coca-Cola launched 'Minute Maid', a naturally refreshing juice drink with real 'Orange Pulp', in the here today.

Market leader in China, the juice drink had been internationally proved as one of the most successful product innovation by Coke in terms of real volume growth.

Well known Video Jockey Nikhil Chinnappa, who had been roped in as brand ambassador, was present at the launch. The innovative consumer proposition was best explained by the brand's tag line -- 'Refreshingly Orange, Surprisingly Pulpy'.

Milan Sathe, VP, Operations, Coca-Cola India said, "We are passionate about fulfilling the replenishment needs of our customers and Minute Maid is meant just for that. This product is designed to extend the company's market leadership in the juice drink segment." Coca-Cola enjoys market leadership in India in juice drink segment with its brand 'Maaza'.

Minute Maid, conceived 62 years ago in Florida, was developed through a process that eliminated 80 per cent of water in orange juice, then forming a frozen concentrate, which when reconstituted created naturally refreshing orange juice.

Sugar factories threaten to close down demanding Rs 300 subsidy

Bangalore, Mar 9 (UNI) Karnataka Sugar cane Producers Federation Chairman M R Desai today said that sugar factories will stop crushing beyond March 31 if the state government fails to pay Rs 300 per ton of sugar cane procured from the growers at support price of Rs 1100 per ton. Talking to newsmen here, he said that due to sharp fall in the prices of Sugar, the Factories were not in a position to crush more sugar cane for the season.....
