Abdul Karim Telgi's wife granted bail on health grounds

Pune, Mar 9 (UNI) The designated court here today granted bail to Sahida Abdul Karim Telgi (42), wife of Abdul Karim Telgi, on health grounds.

MCOCA court judge Chitra Bedi granted the bail on a surety of Rs one lakh after Sahida's counsel contended that his client was facing several health problems, including HIV infection. Sahida had surrendered before the court and has lodged in the Yerawada Jail here since the past one-and-half years.

While granting bail to Sahida, the court has directed her not to interact with witnesses in the multi-crore fake stamp paper case.

Her counsel, Adv Milind Pawar, has also been directed to keep the court informed about Sahida's health.

It is for the first time that the Pune court has granted bail to any of the 67 accused in the case here. One of the accused passed away after the arrest.

Mercury dips due to snow, rain in region

Father throws three minor children into well, kills self

Sasaram, Mar 9 (UNI) After throwing his three children into a community well, poverty stricken Luki Chero, a tribal of Rohtas district in Bihar, jumped into the same to drown himself yesterday to escape from the perennial problem, police said today.
