A boy killed in Jharkhand

Chatra, Mar 9 (UNI) A 15-year-old boy was killed after falling from a bus near Ramnarayan Singh college under Hunterganj police station area in Jharkhand's Chatra district today.

Police said the boy, identified as Nand Kishore Thakur, a standard IX student, was sitting on the top of the vehicle. He was on his way to a sports event in the district.

Police had seized the vehicle.

Kolkata, Mar 9(UNI) The West Bengal Assembly was adjourned for the day today after making obituary references to eminent persons who died during the inter session period. Ranchi, Mar 9 (UNI) The Jharkhand government today said compensation would be given to every hailstorm affected farmer after a brief inquiry by the concerned district commissioners and inputs from legislators. Purulia, Mar 9 (UNI) A large number of posters, leaflets and flags of Maoist were found at Keroa village of Bolarampur in Purulia district early today.
