Youth arrested for making sleazy calls to CM's security officer

Surat, Mar 8 (UNI) A youth was arrested here for making sleazy calls to the residence of a security officer of Haryana chief Minister and handed over to Haryana police.

According to the police, the youth was arrested yesterday and has been identified as Brijendra Prajapati (18), a resident of Keshav Nagar Society in Umragam.

Police said Vishwajit Tiwari, a security officer with Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, had complained to the police that an unidentified person was making calls at his residence in Mahendra Garh village and talking sleaze to the women in the house.

From the caller ID phone of Mr Tiwari it was found the calls were two Surat telephone numbers. Haryana police handed over the numbers to Surat police, which found the calls were made from a public telephone booth in Adajan area.

Poice kept a watch on Prajapati and arrested him red-handed while he was making a call.

He has been handed over to Haryana police for further investigation, police said.

Court asks Gawli to appear on March 12

Mumbai, Mar 8 (UNI) A local court has summoned gangster-turned-MLA Arun Gawli to appear before it on March 12 after the police urged the court to cancel the bail granted to him in a misappropriation case. Additional Sessions Judge P D Vishwasrao today directed Gawli to appear before the court on March 12. IGNOU to set up 8,000 tele-knowledge centres in rural areas

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) As part of the eleventh plan proposal, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is planning to set up 8,000 tele-knowledge centres in rural areas.
