Two arrested with 43 kg charas

Jammu, Mar 8 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police today seized 43 kg of charas being sent to Gujarat and arrested two people at Hira Nagar in Kathua district, official sources said.

Charas worth, Rs 43 lakh in the international market, was seized from a Tata Sumo, coming from Srinagar, SHO Hira Nagar Askok Singh told UNI.

A woman, Roshan Akbar Ali, 55, and her son-in-law Sajid, 38, were also arrested. During preliminary investigation, they revealed that the consignment was being taken to Gujarat, he said.

Shimla, Mar 8 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh advocate general Sanjay Kaorl was today sworn in as the Judge of the state High Court in a simple ceremony here. Chief Justice V K Gupta administered the oath of office to Mr Karol, who was advocate general in the previous Dhumal Government.
