Thomas Cook launches 'Titanium Mastercard'

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) Thomas Cook India Ltd (TCIL), country's leading travel solutions company, and ICICI Bank today launched 'Thomas Cook Titanium Mastercard' which is ideal for travelers looking for greater convenience and exclusive travel and lifestyle benefits.

The MasterCard can be used across the country for travel purchases right from tickets and hotel bookings to holiday packages and travel insurance.

''The launch of travel credit card will play a significant role in our strategic focus of being a leading provider of end-to-end travel services. The card has been specially designed for frequent travelers and it reinforces our commitment to provide the best services to all our customers,'' TCIL Chairman Udayan Bose said.

A consumer using this Credit Card at any of TCIL's outlets would be rewarded for all travel purchases be it airline tickets, holiday packages, hotel bookings and travel insurance. The card also offers premium features and international benefits associated with Mastercard Titanium cards across the world.

On the issuance of the card, each cardholder will receive one free air ticket to a domestic destination. Customers can also earn six reward points per Rs 100 spends on Thomas Cook products.

These reward points are redeemable on Thomas Cook holiday packages, hotel stays, air tickets, airline upgrades,etc, and can be converted into frequent flyer miles on select domestic airlines, a company statement said.

Also, travel inconvenience insurance and a Rs 5,000 discount on any Thomas Cook GIT (Group Holiday Package) product are among the exclusive benefits on the card.

Redraft Communal Violence Bill, Micro-Finance bill: Women activists

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) Terming the proposed Communal Violence Bill and Micro-finance Bill ''gender biased and anti-women'', women groups, social activists and human rights organisations have demanded the legislations should be immediately withdrawn and re-drafted after wider deliberations.
