Suicide bomber kills 26 in cafe in Iraq: Police

Baghdad, Mar 8: A suicide bomber blew himself up in a cafe in a town northeast of Baghdad yesterday, killing at least 26 people, police said.

The blast occurred in the town of Balad Ruz, in the religiously mixed province of Diyala. Balad Ruz police chief Faris al-Umayri said the bomber killed 26 people and wounded 25 others. Another police source put the death toll at 30.

Areva says mulling options on REpower bid

PARIS, March 7 (Reuters) Areva said on Wednesday that it was considering its options on REpower after the German wind-turbine maker recommended a takeover offer by Suzlon that trumped the French nuclear power engineering group' own bid.
