Rs 3 lakh worth goods gutted at Naroda factory

Ahmedabad, Mar 08 (UNI) Fire broke out in a factory 'Chirag Landswork' at Amarnath Estate in Naroda, near Memco, in the city at 4.52 am today. Goods worth Rs 3 lakhs were gutted Fire brigage sources said materials like cotton, plastics and machinery were gutted and the cause of the fire is said to be short-circuit.

It took two hours to bring the fire under control, sources said.

Over 3,000 hens perish in Junagadh farm fire

Junagadh, Mar 8 (UNI) More than 3,000 hens and chicken died in a major fire at a poultry farm in Mangrol town, 60 km from here. The farm, owned by Suleiman Mohammad, was gutted completely yesterday, when a high-tension overhead electric wire broke and fell on it, fire brigade sources said. UNI.....

Booty worth Rs 2.90 lakh looted from noted architect's house

Akola, March 8 (UNI) Miscreants broke into the house of noted architect Ravi Khawle and looted cash and gold ornaments worth about Rs 2.90 lakh. The incident occurred last night. All members of the family were fast asleep when the robbers entered Khawle's house through the window and decamped with the booty from the cupboard, police sources today said. A teenager raped by her maternal uncle

Mumbai, Mar 9 (UNI) Maternal uncle of a teenager was arrested this morning on charges of rape at Dahisar in western suburbs here. Police said accused Kamlesh (27), maternal uncle of the victim, his 14-year-old niece was arrested for raping thrice her in December last year at Dahisar in western suburbs. The matter came to light when the victim complained of abdominal pain and vomitting to her parents late last night. She was rushed to a hospital where doctors diagnosed.....
