Latino sensation Shakira to perform in Mumbai

Bangalore, Mar 8 (UNI) Shakira, the Latino singing sensation and one of the world's hottest artiste on stage, will perform in India for the first time when she takes to the stage at a concert in Mumbai on March 25.

The concert, sponsored by leading cell phone maker Nokia and organised by DNA Networks, was to promote her latest hit album 'Oral Fixation'.

Apart from her hit numbers like 'Hips Don't Lie', 'Don't Bother' and 'Illegal' from her latest album, Shakira, for whom songs were only half the act, would also treat the fans with other chartbusters like 'Whenever, whereever' and 'Objection Tango', a release from DNA Network here said today.

The Latino beauty had sold close to 40 million CDs worldwide.

The tickets were priced at Rs 3,650 and Rs 2,650, the release said.

Woman claims to be Jagjivan's wife, takes away his body

Morena, MP, Mar 16 (UNI) A woman, who claimed to be the wife of dacoit Jagjivan Parihar, who was killed in an encounter with police along with six other dacoits yesterday, took away the bodies of Jagjivan, his brother Param Singh and his nephew, police said today. K'taka Cong women's wing seeks constitutional amendments

Udupi, Mar 8 (UNI) The Karnataka Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee will take a delegation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to urge them to bring in Constitutional amendments to the Dowry Prohibition Act, Hindu Marriage Act and Evidence Act, its General Secretary Shamala Bhandary said today. MP Assy Committee to probe allegations against official
