Kawaljit Anand is Haywards 5000 Mr India.

Mumbai, Mar 8 (UNI) Kawaljit Anand of Assam won the first 'Haywards 5000 Mr India World' contest at a glittering ceremony last evening, ending the race for India's most desirable man to conquer the world.

He will now represent India at the most prestigious and coveted Mr World title in Sanya, China.

Freddy Darruwala and Mohsin Akhtar were declared as first and second runner ups in the 'Haywards 5000 Mr India World' contest.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Munish Purii, National Director of Mr India World (MIW) 2007, said, ''The 'Haywards 5000 contest' has been a great milestone for us. The event was made possible by our partners Haywards 5000, Liberty and Richfeel Trichology Centre.'' Mr Apurv Nagpal, Director Marketing, SABMiller India said: ''We are proud to have hosted this event along with Times Innovative Media Pvt Ltd. 'Haywards 5000' has always supported initiatives that bring out the best in men and hope to continue supporting programmes that identify men of real character.'' The other winners were Mohit Jain as Mr Sach Much Solid, Siddhanth Karnick as Mr Talented, Freddy Darruwala as Mr Sexy Walk, Milind Shah as Mr Healthy Hair and Nipun Seth as Mr Fitness.

The show had an enlivening performance by famed singer - maestro Lesle Lewis and Rodney (from the band Infrared). Shibani Kashyap put up an exhilarating act. Crazy Cat fame girl Nandini Jumani set the stage on fire with her moves.

Actor and singer Raageshwari enthralled the audience with her act rhythm. The contestants walked the ramp specially choreographed by ace choreographer Alison Kanuga, in dazzling and sensational creations by Manoviraj Khosla, Roopam and Pooja Goyal of the Libaas fame.

The panel comprising prominent judges Hemant Trevedi, Rocky S, Shaina N C, Subi Samuel and Dipannita Sharma chose the final three winners of the 'Haywards 5000 Mr India World' contest from among 18 finalists.

Rane says Goa on track of achieving zero revenue deficit
