ING Vysya Bank raises upper tier II capital to Rs 100cr

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) ING Vysya Bank today said that the Board of Directors has approved raising of upper tier II capital up to Rs 100 crore.

At its board meeting held yesterday, the bank has approved the raising of upper tier II capital, by way of unlisted bonds/debentures in foreign currency (Japanese Yen) up to an amount equivalent to Rs 100 crore, from ING Bank, N V with a tenure of 15 years with a callable option at the end of 10 years subject to the approval of RBI and any relevant authority, as may he required, a company statement said.

RPG Enterprises to invest Rs 2,700cr by 2011 on retail expansion

Gurgaon, Mar 8 (UNI) The Goenka's-owned RPG Enetrprises will infuse Rs 2,500-Rs 2,700 crore for setting up 4,000 retail outlets, including 1,000 Spencers stores, across the country by 2011. ''We will invest Rs 2,500- Rs 2,700 crore on our expansion plans within the next four-five years. We will also be investing Rs 1,000 crore on Spencers retail venture,'' RPG Enterprises Vice-Chairman Sanjiv Goenka told reporters here. Redraft Communal Violence Bill, Micro-Finance bill: Women activists

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) Terming the proposed Communal Violence Bill and Micro-finance Bill ''gender biased and anti-women'', women groups, social activists and human rights organisations have demanded the legislations should be immediately withdrawn and re-drafted after wider deliberations. Both the Communal Violence (Prevention, control, and rehabilitation of victims) Bill, 2005 and the Micro Finance Sector Development and Regulation Bill, 2007 have already been cleared by the Union Cabinet and are likely to be tabled in the current session of Parliament......

Health camp organised for working women

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) The Health Ministry today organised a health check up camp to sensitise women, who are the main caregivers to children and elderly, about various health problems specific to the fair sex.
