Cabinet nod for three posts for academy in Bhopal

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for the creation of three posts of Professor (Law) and one post of Additional Registrar for the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal.

The Professor (Law) will assist the Director in conducting most of the recurrent and uniform set of activities of the Academy whereas Additional Registrar will assist the Director and Registrar in administration and smooth functioning of the Academy, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi said after the Cabinet meeting here presided over by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

GoM to finalise National Policy on Bio-Fuels: Cabinet

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) The Cabinet today decided to set up a Group of Ministers (GoM) to finalise the national policy on bio-fuels. The GoM, the members of which would be decided by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, would also make recommendations on the role of the proposed National Bio-Fuel Development Authority, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters. CCEA apporves PCPIRs to boost investments

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) The Cabinet Commitee on Economic Affairs ((CCEA) today approved the long-awaited Policy Resolution for Petroleum, Chemicals, and Petrochemical Investment Regions (PCPIRs) which aim to promote investment in this sector and make the country an important hub for both domestic and international markets. Briefing newspersons on the outcome of the CCEA decisions, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said this approach will attract major investments, both domestic and foreign, by creating investment regions, which will have excellent infrastructure.....

Feminisation of working poverty continues: ILO

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) Even though number of women in the workforce has increased, the persistent gap in the status, job security, wages and education between women and men is contributing to 'feminisation of working poverty', according to the International Labour Organisation. This has been highlighted in the ILO's report 'Global Employment trends for Women brief-2007' released worldwide to mark the International Women's Day today.
