AP to set up more gas filling stations

Hyderabad, Mar 8 (UNI) Admitting lakhs of vehicles were plying on cooking gas in Andhra Pradesh, Civil Supplies Minister N Raghuveera Reddy today said more filling stations would be set up in the state.

Replying to questions from Mr M Chandrasekhar Reddy and other Congress members, the Minister said three LNG gas filling stations were being set up in Krishna District and one each in Kakinada, Rajahmundry and Suryapet.

The government was considering setting up one LNG station each in Tirupati and Visakhapatnam, he added.

As many as 24 LPG filling stations would be added to the existing 20 stations in the next two months to cater to over 65,000 vehicles plying in the state, he said, adding the government was providing tax exemption on gas kits to encourage more vehicle users to opt for the green fuel.

Hyderabad, Mar 08(UNI) Andhra Pradesh public service commission today selected and appointed registrars for Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts in the category-3 of class-ii of Andhra Pradesh registration service by direct recruitment. BJP starts selection of candidates for UP polls

New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) The Central Election Committee (CEC) of the BJP today started the process of selecting its nominees for the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls scheduled for April-May. The committee, consisting of top BJP leaders Atal Behari Vajpayee, L K Advani, Rajnath Singh, Venkaiah Naidu and Murli Manohar Joshi have started the process of selecting the candidates for the Assembly constituencies.
