Accident kills 13 in eastern Bangladesh

Dhaka, Mar 8 (UNI) Thirteen people were killed and 30 others injured in an accident on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Bangladesh 's eastern district of Comilla today.

Police said a Chittagong-bound bus collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound microbus at noon, which left 11 people, including the microbus driver, dead on the spot and injured 32 others. Two of the injured died on the way to hospital.

The condition of the seven injured was stated to be critical. The driver and the helper of the bus fled immediately after the accident.

US embassy express concern over Prachanda's allegation

US Under secretary of state for management to visit Nepal

Kathmandu, Mar 9 (UNI) US Under Secretary of state for Management Henrietta H Fore is visiting Nepal from today to review the political development in Nepal. Ms Fore is the seniormost administrative official to visit Nepal since Jana Aandolan II in April last year that forced King Gyanendra to give up all his powers to the political parties. Ms Fore, who is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, will review developments in the Himalayan nation, the American embassy said.....
