240 gm smack seized

Shajapur, MP, Mar 8 (UNI) One person was arrested and 240 gm smack, worth Rs 2.5 lakh, was seized from him, from this district's Badaud bordering Rajasthan, police said today.

''On a tip-off, Vikram Singh Saundhiya was arrested last night while returning from Dag in Rajasthan and 240 gm smack was seized from the box of his motorcycle,'' Inspector Ajay Verma said.

The accused was arrested under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Burnt counsellor shifted to New Delhi for treatment

Jabalpur, Mar 8 (UNI) A counsellor, who was set ablaze by a patient at the local Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Medical College Hospital over a trivial issue on March 6, has been sent to New Delhi for treatment via air ambulance. ''On the instructions of the state government, counsellor Sanjay Shrivastav was sent to New Delhi in air ambulance called from there,'' Collector Sanjay Dube said. Junagadh, Mar 8 (UNI) The Gujarat Government could seek help from any quarter, even from the CBI, into the mysterious death of two lionesses and a cub, P N Roy Chowdhury, Principal Secretary, Forest Department said here today.
