Youth jumps to death before train

Farrukhabad, Mar 7 (UNI) A youth committed suicide by jumping in front of the Kanpur-Farrukhabad passenger train here today.

Jaichand (25) -- a resident of Badhaua village -- jumped before the train at Nekpur Chaurasi Church railway line under Kotwali police station area.

The reason behind the crime remains unknown, police said.

The body has been sent for autopsy.

Aligarh, Feb 24 (UNI) Police today arrested a local councillor and his brother, for allegedly beating a student of the Polytechnic College here. Municipal Councillor Parvez and his brother Shahzad were arrested after Aligarh Muslim University students went on a rampage, damaging shops and vehicles, on Medical Road to protest last evening's incident. One killed in farmers clash in Haryana

Yamunanagar, Mar 7 (UNI) One person was killed and another injured following a clash between two groups of farmers in Jhathlana village in the district today, police here said.
