Three US soldiers killed near Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Mar 7 (Reuters) Three US soldiers were killed and another was wounded by a roadside bomb near Baghdad today, the US military said.

The soldiers were conducting a patrol to clear roadside bombs from a frequently travelled route northwest of the capital when they were hit by an explosion, the US military said in a statement. It gave no further details.

Israeli air force unveils spy drone

PALMACHIM AIR BASE, Israel, Mar 7 (Reuters) Israel's air force officialy unveiled an unmanned spy plane today that experts said had been used in the Lebanon war and could potentially carry missiles for covert track-and-kill missions. The Heron, which is manufactured by state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), is billed as being capable of flying for 40 hours without refueling at a maximum altitude of 30,000 feet and carrying 250 kg of equipment. Military sources said Herons first saw extensive combat actions.....

Buenos Aires, Mar 8: Argentine judicial authorities are probing the bank accounts of soccer great Diego Maradona as part of a tax investigation, a source at Argentina's central bank said today. The central bank has asked Argentine banks holding accounts in Maradona's name to hand over details on any activity in the accounts, the source said.
