Sahara care for worried overseas Indians

Ahmedabad, Mar 07 (UNI) Sahara India Pariwar today launched Sahara Care House, a single window platform for Indians residing overseas, that takes care of healthcare and other facilities to the near and dear ones of the overseas Indians in India.

Speaking to reporters here, Mr Romi Datta, CEO, Sahara Care House said there are 25 million people of Indian origin settled across 70 countries and who form the third largest diaspora. Out of this 6 million are Gujaratis approximating 25 per cent of the NRI population. Sahara will take care of the needs of this community ''anytime,''''any day'' and ''anywhere'' making an emotional connect and easing their worries.

Sahara will help through a trained workforce of 3,500 'Relationship Ambassadors' (RAs) giving family like support to the families of Indians Residing Overseas or IROs. The medical services will be provided through 249 Sahara Care House Centres across 197 Indian cities and can be accessed 24 hours a day throughout the year by calling toll free number or by logging on to the website ''www.saharacarehouse.com,'' Mr Datta said.

Other services include Utility Services like paying electricity, telephone, water bills or school fees personalised services like visa facilitation or taking the families on pilgrimages etc and relationship services like delivering flower, gifts or sweets etc.

He said in Gujarat, Sahare Care House offices are located in Ahmedabad, Anand, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Mehsana, Palanpur, Porbander, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara and Valsad. With 15 offices in these 11 cities of Gujarat and over 100 RAs, Sahara Care would provide services to families of six million non-resident Gujaratis, he added.

Twin Floriculture parks to come up in Bengal

Kolkata, Mar 07 (UNI) West Bengal government is planning to set up two floriculture parks in the state to boost production and flower exports. State Food Processing and Horticulture Principal secretary M.L. Meena said the twin parks would be set up through public-private partnership (PPP) route. Kolkata, Mar 7 (UNI) A 24-member German delegation from the state of Saarland will visit Bengal tommorrow scouting for business opportunities in the state in pharma, machinery, steel and manufacturing sectors. Mizoram supplies bamboo

Aizawl, March 7 (UNI) Mizoram Bamboo Development Corporation(MBDC) has supplied about 1,39,000 tonne bamboo to Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd(HPCL) and Cachar Paper Mill during past six months, official sources said today. The sources here said that export of such volume of bamboos has been done through six contractors from Bairabi, Kanhmun and Saiphai bamboo collecting centres of Mizoram.
