Rupee opens inches up at 44.43/45 per USD

Mumbai, Mar 7 (UNI) The Indian Rupee inched up against the US dollar this morning at 44.43/45 against its previous day's close of 44.46/47 close as the stock market showed signs of stabilising after some sharp losses, but traders were wary of reading too much into the rise, dealers said.

Later, the partially convertible Rupee was range bound of five to six paise and quoted between at 44.43 and 44.51 per dollar, stronger than yesterday's close of 44.46/47.

All eyes are on equities market which is still nervous and there's no clear direction. The market expects the Rupee to trade in a 44.43-51 range today, brokers added.

FMC tips ATMA for wider participation in rubber futures

Ahmedabad, Mar 7 (UNI) The Forward Markets Commission (FMC) has advised the representatives of Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA) and rubber dealers to encourage larger participation in the rubber futures market with a view to make the process of price discovery more efficient and lower the risk of price volatility, a National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE) release said here today. It has been confirmed that ATMA has been advised to encourage larger participation in the futures exchanges in the wake of speculations.....

Spice Mobile launches People's phone at a price less than Rs 1,000

Mumbai, Mar 7 (UNI) Spice Mobile Phone today launched its Spice People's phone at a price less than Rs 1,000 to make it available to every common man. Spice, a group company of Mcorp Global, launched the people's phone at a time when few big cellphone companies are holding sway over the market.
