PowerGrid CMD bags Scope Excellence Award

New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) Dr R P Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has been bestowed with the Scope Excellence Award in recognition of his contribution towards growth of the company and the power sector.

The award will be presented to Dr Singh by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tomorrow.

PowerGrid has also been selected for MOU Excellence Award for two consecutive years for being amongst the top ten public sector enterprises.

Chennai, Mar 3 (UNI) The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) and Kaybase, a leading corporte research firm, held a contest for college students in the city to devise a unique marketing strategy for 'Fun and Focus', the online children's magazine run by Kaybase. The contest was aimed at motivating students to think innovatively and encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among the student community. Kirloskar gets LoA from Power Grid

New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) Kirloskar Brothers Ltd today received letter of award (LoA) for supply and erection of equipment and material for construction of new 33/11 kV sub-station in Cachar district of Assam from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. Kozhikode, Mar 3 (UNI) The public sector Punjab National Bank has revised interest rates on ''PNB Mahabachat'' and ''PNB Tax Saver Deposit Scheme'' with effect from March 1 this year. Govt sets up cell to monitor prices

Guntur, Mar 3 (UNI) Concerned about the price rise of essential commodities, the Andhra Pradesh government has set up a cell in Hyderabad to monitor the prices of 14 commodities, including rice cooking gas, pulses, onions, cooking oils, petrol and diesel. Andhra Pradesh civil supplies commissioner C N Rao today interacted with the civil supplies officials, rice millers and doll millers of Guntur, Prakasham, Nellore districts here.
